Ron Ritz has had many opportunities to travel to various remote regions of the world photographing, practicing plastic and reconstructive surgery, and teaching surgical technique. Now retired, he invests time he never had previously, in refining images of his photographic work, which span over fifty years. These photographs are a sampling of his travels, offering cultural perspective and insight as seen through the lens of his cameras.
As an ardent lover of photography for more than fifty years, capturing nuance as seen through the lens comes naturally, and instinctively to Ron Ritz. His ability to interpret and document juxtaposition and the essence of his subject, transports the viewer through his black and white imagery, creating captivating and lasting impressions.
After his many years spent in the dark room working with film, Ron Ritz has more recently moved into the digital age, using new technology to archive, and produce prints from another perspective.
